Espresso

Un espresso, due espressi! This is the Italian way of enjoying coffee. When perfectly prepared, a compact, red-brown cream and a tiger-stripe pattern emerge. Finely harmonized acid and sour tones make for a strong and balanced taste.



Ingredients

7.5 - 8.5 g of finely ground coffee beans (espresso roast)

25 - 30 ml of hot water (90° - 95° C)

 

Preparation

The freshly ground and strongly compressed coffee powder is extracted in a brewing chamber (i.e. in the case of fully automatic machines) when exposed to 8 - 9 bar of brewing pressure over a period of around 25 - 30 seconds.
